Q. Why do you call the baby Tiger?

Because it is cute. After discovering that we were pregnant, Norm put his hand on Teri's belly and said, "so you are what has been making her tummy growl." Tiger came from that.

Q. Is it a boy or a girl?

Tiger is a little boy. We first determined the gender at the 7/7/2004 ultrasound. When we went to do the 4D ultrasound, we were assured that the baby is indeed a he.

Q. When are you due?

The orignial due date given to us was December 5, 2004. At the 7/7 ultrasound the radiologist measured Tiger's head and legs to get a more accurate age and due date. After those calculations, the due date was moved up to November 25, 2004.
At the 10/04/2004 ultrasound we were given another date based on the size of the baby. Tiger's weight (6 lbs.) and measurments indicate that Teri is closer to 35 weeks than 32. That would give me a delivery date of November 6th. Unfortunately the technician informed us that determining the due date this late into a pregnancy was not accurate because it does not account for genetics. What that means is, most likely, we will not have the baby until the end of November, but he will be HUGE! Bummer.

Q. Do you have a name yet?

We are 95% set on a name for Tiger. We'll let you all know what it is once he has come out.

Q. How is Teri feeling?

Teri has been blessed with a great pregnancy so far. She is still feeling really good. Sleeping has become more of a pain because of her size and sometimes she needs help from Norm to tie her shoes or do anything related to her feet. Her lower back still gives her some problems and standing or walking for any length of time doesn't work very well. Of course, after determing that the kid already weighs 6lbs the back pain makes a lot more sense!

Q. What is a 3D and 4D ultrasound?

A 3D Ultrasound is a normal sonogram that gives you a 3D image of the baby instead of a 2D image. A 4D Ultrasound makes a movie of those 3D images. Teri's sister had this done for her first child, and the pictures were great so Norm and Teri decided to get it done for Tiger. Because of it we now have more pictures and even a DVD of the whole ultrasound.
